Lake Wheeler Park . Raleigh, NC

Joel & I decided to go exploring yesterday afternoon in our new area and found a beautiful park {actually a couple beautiful parks but that's for another time}...Lake Wheeler Park has small hiking trails, boat & canoe rentals, a playground & of course, lots of awesome trees and waterfront! It was a tad bit chilly but that's understandable considering it's almost February. It was still a gorgeous place to visit...I'm picturing lots of great picnic days with the hubs here in the summertime.

Our first week in Raleigh...

our first week here in Raleigh  wasn't as eventful

as i would have hoped. the apartment wasn't

 up to par so we've had some help from management

to get it in better shape. 

kind of a bummer it was like that but we are 

making progress slowly. 

on a better note, joel is loving his new job 

and gets along great with his

team of creative geniuses :)

because of all the renos, we had a good time checking out restaurants,movie theaters, 

home decor shops {World Market!},

and spending time together just exploring.

we love the area so far & are also in the process

of trying to find a home church...

all in time.

Our last week in Florida...

As many of you've heard through our facebook page, we have relocated to Raleigh, North Carolina. My awesome hubby got a new job up here and we were really excited at the time we accepted but also really bummed. We have lots of great friends and family here in Florida so it was definitely bittersweet. Having said that, we wanted to make sure our last week with everyone was special and that we made time to hang out and have fun. Packing is overrated anyways... ;)


We are really grateful and blessed to have incredible friends who encourage us, pray for us and just plain love us. Feels wonderful to know you have that kind of support...here are just a few pics of our last moments with some of favorite peeps. Love you guys!
